Im not an expert of pu'ers, kind of new to them, but I give it my go: First brew brings up strong notes of leather and spices, littlebit smoky with kind of thick mouthfeel. After about 5-6 brews more ripe fruity aromas start to rise while leathery and smoky front starts to fade a little bit. The taste has nice balance to it.
While not the most complex or layered sheng its flavour is spot on raw with robust vegetal and some mineral notes. Hui gan on POINT! long lasting sweet flowery white grapey apricotty. will show some astrigency if pushed no doubt AND! potent chi. tbh this tea is worth a try for its chi alone imo.
I can't describe this other than how overwhelmingly the rinse and the first infusion smell like froot loops. it sounds crazy but everyone i've served this to have all independently said it tastes/smells like froot loops.
This tea i bough only once, to try, but on my next purchase it will occupy the most of the shipping box.
I tried many and from everywhere. this tea is a MUST! it pumps you with almost palpable vitality with every sip. I believe for everyone will be different, but after 2 cups of this wonder i can go on all day long, 12+ hours straight, no tired, sleepy. It is not heavy- bodied, but i steep it for some time, at least 3-4 minutes 1st time and @5-7 2nd time. I do not steep any tea more than 2 times.
this is unbelievable tea, i was taken by surprise by its action/my body response to it.
This is very interesting. I've had te 2019 of this one and super enjoyed it. It was very heavy on the marzipan which I loved about that tea. This one on the other hand is completely different. Here the floral notes have been exchanged for a much more spicy palette of kumin and pepper. I have the spring one of this tea also but haven't tested that Spicy teaone. So not sure if it's the year or the season talking.
Still love this tea and will probably keep getting this one every year. It's just an amazing tea.
I strongly recommend this tea to anyone how likes raw pu erh. If you're not sure what to get, tis or any of the other year's / seasons is a save bet.
Also had 10+ steepings before it started to lose taste. After 10 I lost count but I thing that we did 15 or 16 before we called it quits and we still had some faint aroma's going on.
