How to brew ripe pu erh tea?

Warm up the tea pot with boiling water, put about 5-8g pu-erh tea loose leaf, swirl and discard the water. This helps to damp tea leaves, wash and help them to start steeping, repeat the rinse of the tea leaves once more.

After that pour 8 fl.oz of boiling water that about 90-95ºC (195-205ºF) and cover tea pot for 2-4 minutes, and then enjoy it!

Note: Don't allow the tea leaves in your teapot continue to steep.

This is a tea that is full of flavor. Really enjoyed it. I carefully split it to have multiple sessions with multiple infusions. Very pleased with this tea.

This tea started off as something I was not a fan of - the first 2-3 steeps are very soupy, bitter and viscous but as I steeped more and more; fruity aromas of cherries and plums with an underlying chocolate flavour became stronger and stronger. Perfect for a cold rainy day especially here in the UK!

This is a lovely example of an Haiwan puer. I've had wonderful experiences with this year in particular. And this one is among my favorites. Classic sweet overtones, enough of the earthy strength, but consistently smooth. I'd recommend at least grabbing a sample to experience. Love this tea shop.
