This is a delicious Puerh with a very lovely aged character. First thing I notice is an aged aroma that smells like a fresh and damp basement. The tea brew is very hydrating and of medium texture. Dark and rich color. Not at all astringent, not any noticeable bitterness either. By the third infusion or so a very slight lit match stick aroma comes through, and slowly turns into the smell of fireworks in the air on a summery night. By the fourth or 5th infusion a gentle sugary maple syrup nuance comes through and takes me to a log cabin in the American north west as a child, the smell of maple syrup heating on the stove mingles with fresh pine forest air that carries the gentlest unoffensive note of forest campfire with it (don't get the wrong idea, it's incredibly clean) This tea packs a good amount of sessions and infusions in its little compact shape and the gold flecked wrapping it comes in makes it a very alluring treat. I recommend it.
A nice deepness with this pu erh, mushroom nose after washing the leaves, very dark liquor. It leaves a great feeling in the mouth, taste stays for long after drinking. even though it is not cheap, it is worth the money for the quality.
