Jane I’ve tried pu-erh before, but this is is my first experience with a different kind of hei cha. The dry leaves smell incredibly earthy, almost like dirt. When wet, they get a wonderful root vegetable smell, with hints of potatoes and beets. The liquor is sweet smelling yet earthy, and it is oh so smooth. Very durable infusions, and it has a great sweet flavor. A very unique tea.
