Definitely a favorite. I'll be ordering more. A little difficult to break up, but very worth the time and effort. Just be patient and keep poking until it gives way. This tea was thick right from the first brew with good strong flavors. The product description hits the nail on the head with the flavors. Creamy, a little sweet, richly earthy.

I'm not typically a huge fan of older ripes but often find myself picking up smaller samples to find if I can get some of that level of enjoyment others have with it. Usually my feeling is that ripes as old as the 90s and beyond have often lost more than they have gained for my personal tastes in terms of flavour profile and I get much more from the body sensation and energy in the tea than the flavours or the mouthfeel. Lots of mustiness, tannic qualities and a thick body which put together aren't all that pleasant to me, pulling too much towards one direction and lacking balance.

Although I much preffer raw over ripe tea, this is an enjoyable tea. Very well balanced with a thick liquor.
